Farrah Abraham has a lot of critics, but not very many defenders.
The reasons for this are myriad, of course, as Farrah continues to find ways to f-ck up not only her own existence, but that of her 9-year-old daughter.
Sure, it’s Farrah’s life, and if she wants to star in live-streaming online sex shows instead of a popular reality series, that’s her decision to make.
She would probably find at least some fan support for such choices, were it not for the fact that she’s terrible to everyone in her life, especially her mother and daughter.
But now, Farrah has found an unlikely defender in Leah Messer’s second husband, Jeremy Calvert.
As a result, another star of the franchise is attempting to get Calvert to see the light, and Farrah is proving once again that she doesn’t need to star on a Teen Mom series in order to stir up major drama with the shows’ cast. Details:
A Problem Like Farrah (CBS) Where to begin with Ms. Abraham’s many, many flaws as a mother and member of society? For time’s sake, we’ll just stick to the last couple months of Farrah f-ck ups.
Keeping Busy Yes, it was quite the summer for Farrah, who kicked things off by being arrested for attacking a staff member at the Beverly Hills Hotel while her daughter was asleep nearby.
The Dead Dog Debacle (Getty) Shortly thereafter, Farrah attempted to show off her comedic chops by making a video in which she encourages Sophia to “prank” a friend by telling the girl her dog has died. Funny stuff!
The Boxer At the moment, Farrah is preparing or her first “celebrity boxing” match, which mostly consists of charging fans to watch her work out in various stages of undress. Sadly, her career as a nude pugilist may be over before it begins because …
Farrah Is Back on Drugs Come to think of it, we don’t know if she was ever off drugs. Whatever the case, she recently tested positive for barbituates while filming a TV show and then tried to play dumb in hilarious fashion.
Farrah Being Farrah (MTV) Needless to say, Ms. Abraham is a genius in the art of torpedoing her own public image, but one high-profile defender thinks all the flak Farrah receives is undeserved …
Jeremy Speaks Out Jeremy Calvert has been critical of his Teen Mom franchise co-stars in the past, most notably Jenelle Evans and her now-fired husband, David Eason.
An Unexpected Stance On the topic of Farrah, Jeremy has very strong feelings — but not in the way that many fans might have expected.
Jeremy Defends Farrah “I don’t know why everyone judges what @F1Abraham does, if her daughter has food in her stomach, clothes on her back and a roof over her head, WTF does it matter to anyone else what she does or how she raises her child,” Jeremy tweeted this week.
Cavert’s Take “Last time I checked it’s her child. Let her live her life,” Calvert continued.
The Blowback Needless to say, the response from fans has not been overwhelmingly positive, as Farrah remains one of the most despised reality TV villains in the history of the genre.
Keeping It Civil Jeremy’s argument even received opposition from his friend and franchise co-star Kailyn Lowry, who managed to make her voice heard without flying off the handle.
Kail’s Concerned “I think it’s more out of concern, Jeremy!” Kailyn pointed out in response to his Calvert’s pro-Farrah tweet.
A Valid Point Kail is right, of course. There may be some folks who simply hate Farrah because they disapprove of her choice of lifestyle, but many are concerned about the impact Abraham’s choices might be having on her daughter.
Mini-Farrah Unfortunately, Farrah is in the habit of involving her daughter in her very adult lifestyle, even going so far as to make her a partner in certain business ventures.
The Problem Is … (Getty) That might not be such a bad thing, were it not for the fact that so much of Farrah’s empire is based on sex work.
Sophia the Celeb To make matters worse, Farrah seems hell-bent on turning her daughter into an Instagram celebrity, regardless of whether or not the girl has any interest in fame.
All Up In Our Faces “It’s all over social media all day everyday day… it’s hard not to see every single detail when it’s concerning and in your face,” one fan commented in response to Calvert’s reproach.
The Dilemma (Getty) It’s generally a good thing when someone in a position of power stands up for an underdog, but this is an unusual case, and Jeremy may want to recognize the fact that much of the criticism directed at Farrah is well-deserved.
