Well, we certainly didn’t predict the Jenelle Evans vs. Ryan Edwards feud, but in retrospect, we probably should have seen this one coming.

After all, Jenelle is always trying to regain relevance by picking fights with current and former Teen Mom cast members, and these days, Ryan and his family are low-hanging fruit.

The Edwards clan was recently fired from Teen Mom OG, and Ryan’s bad behavior often earns him comparisons to Evans.

So really, the only thing that’s surprising about this situation is the fact that Jenelle didn’t come after Ryan sooner.

Anyway, Jenelle has been ranting and raving about how unfair it is that she got fired from Teen Mom 2, while Ryan got to keep his job despite the fact that he was once addicted to drugs.

Now, it’s important for us to note that Ryan has been fired, and Jenelle’s dismissal had nothing to do with her drug use, but trying to reason with Ms. Evans is like trying to talk sense to a sleep-deprived toddler on a sugar bender.

“You can tell he is in and out of drugs a lot, no matter what Mackenzie says, and I just think it doesn’t need to be aired," Evans told The Sun in a recent interview.

“I don’t think it’s healthy for teens to be watching other people on drugs, especially young teens who are watching Teen Mom,"

It’s great that Jenelle is suddenly so concerned about the young folks who tune into Teen Mom, but the complaint is a little weird for a bunch of reasons, not the least of which is that the franchise centers around a bunch of 30-year-old moms.

There’s no reason to believe its audience is any younger than that of any other reality show.

In a conversation with The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Ryan’s wife, Mackenzie Standifer, made it clear that she really doesn’t care what Jenelle has to say.

"Doesn’t she have a dog to go rescue, or a podcast to be fired from, or a bad TikTok dance to re-create?" Mackenzie asked.

“And she doesn’t have to believe anything I say because I literally do not care what her (or anyone’s) thoughts are.”

Now, this is exactly the sort of drama that Jenelle was hoping for, so it should come as no surprise that she quickly made a TikTok video responding to Standifer’s claims:

“I have some of you messaging me saying ‘You have no room to talk, you were on drugs on TV.’ We know that,” Jenelle said.

“The difference between me and someone else [Ryan], is I admitted it. I told everyone I was on drugs. I acknowledged the problem, and I fixed it to become a better person," she continued.

“Now, are they [Ryan] acknowledging the problem? No,” Jenelle rambled on.

“Are [Ryan’s family] suggesting that maybe he should go to rehab? I probably don’t think so. It sickens me when there’s outsiders, or their ‘support system’ that don’t call them out on their bulls–t.

“I also want to point out that, looking back at everything, me being on drugs, being it filmed,” Jenelle said in the sort of word-salad, Jenelle-speak for which she’s become known.

“…I don’t approve of that. It was too explicit for a young audience to watch.”

Obviously, if Jenelle had not gotten fired, she would not be complaining about MTV corrupting young minds by showing her getting high on camera.

But to be fair, it’s not the first time that she’s used that incident as an excuse to take a shot at her former bosses.

Back in December of 2020, Jenelle appeared on the This Family Tree podcast.

The episode was removed after the hosts were made aware of what an awful person Jenelle is, but thankfully, it was first transcribed by The Ashley.

“They filmed me on drugs. They filmed me, no lie, nodding out on-camera,” Jenelle said of Teen Mom 2 producers.

“They filmed me going to buy marijuana and my director knew I had it in my car. There was so much illegal stuff that they filmed…”

Apparently, Jenelle thinks that they did something illegal by filming her doing something illegal?

We can’t believe someone who spent so many years on reality TV could have such a poor understanding of how these things work, but she should really watch an episode of Intervention some time.
