After Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin were spotted getting their marriage license at a New York City courthouse, legal insiders revealed that Justin and Hailey did not have a prenup.

Considering that Justin’s net worth is more than 100 times Hailey’s, many found this mind-boggling and could scarcely believe it.

Well, just because there was no prenup at the time doesn’t mean that they won’t hammer one out before the wedding — and that’s just what they’re doing.

TMZ reports that Justin and Hailey will work out a prenup before their wedding.

According to their sources, both Hailey and the Biebs have lawyered up.

Negotations for a pre-nuptial agreement are awkward, but pretty imporant.

Very roughly, internet sources believe that Justin is worth about $265 million, while Hailey is worth about $2 million.

They’ll need to hammer out these details before tying the knot, or it could cost one of them a great deal.

This viral tweet showcases the general sentiments of people who heard earlier reports.

We reported when legal sources said that Justin and Hailey didn’t have a prenup before their visit to the marriage bureau.

At the time, we speculated that it was always possible that the couple’s shared religious views and their current devotiont o each other made them certain that they would never divorce.

Well, then some unconfirmed reports came out claiming that Justin was adamant about no prenup, because he felt that marriage is too sacred of an institution for paperwork.

Clearly, that was not accurate.

TMZ says that the current plan is for Justin and Hailey’s current assets, going into the marriage, to remain theirs.

At least, that’s the plan — unless their finances become so intermingled that no one can tell where his stuff ends and hers begins.

(That can happen very easily in most healthy marriages)

So, what are these prenup negotiations for if they’ve already decided that what they currently have remains theirs?

Probably things like division of assets acquired during the marriage.

Justin and Hailey might be married for 50 days or 50 years, though somewhere between 10 months and 10 years seems more likely.

Remember, they’ve broken up once before — at least once before.

(After all, reports say that they’ve gotten back together in secret multiple times since they dated a couple of years ago)

Add that to the fact that just about a year ago, Justin was reconnecting with another ex — Selena Gomez — and seemed convinced that sh ewas the one …

… Well, it doesn’t paint the odds of Hailey and Justin staying together in a very good light.

Obviously, no one is rooting for this to fail — except, perhaps, for those who worry that Hailey is lovestruck and perhaps too young to get married.

She is only 21 years old, folks. She’s only a few years on this side of child marriage.

Is she old enough to date anyone she likes? Absolutely. But marriage is a huge deal, and a lot of people like Hailey and worry that she’ll regret this.

But it’s her life to live, and even if you think that Justin isn’t even hot anymore, you’re not the one preparing to walk down the aisle with him.

As for when these two will have their wedding, well, their marriage license is only good for 60 days. So it looks like their deadline is probably November 12.
