By now, you’ve probably heard the news that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called it quits after less than a year of marriage.
But this story is moving at such breakneck speed that you may not realize Miley has already moved on!
Yes, photos of the newly-single singer making out with Kaitlynn Carter shocked the internet over the weekend, especially since they were reportedly taken the day before Miley and Liam announced their split.
Kaitlynn, of course, is best known as the ex of famed famous person Brody Jenner.
We don’t mean to rag on Brody’s career, but … what career?
With his famous last name and reality TV stardom, Jenner is essentially the male Paris Hilton, and he seems totally fine with that fact.
He also seems weirdly okay with the fact that his ex-"wife" (the world recently learned that he and Kaitlynn were never legally married) has been locking lips with one of the world’s most famous pop stars.
Brody posted the contemplative photo above over the weekend, along with a caption reading:
"Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today."
A vague sentiment, but many fans assumed Jenner was referring to the recent dissolution of his marriage.
Fortunately, from there, the need for guesswork was eliminated, as Brody and friends got much more specific in their commentary.
"Let’s round this scandal out and post a pic of us making out," wrote The Hills co-star Brandon Lee.
"Watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon," Brody replied.
Obviously, Brody and his buddies were keeping the comments light, but it seems Miley may not have seen the humor in the situation.
"@brodyjenner go take a nap in your truck and cool off #HotGirlSummer," Cyrus commented on the pic.
The hashtag seems to be a reference to Brody’s earlier comments on Miley and Kaitlyn.
Jenner earlier commented, "Hot girl summer" on a photo of Kaitlynn and Miley, adding a flame emoji for good measure.
The comment is Brody’s way of shrugging off his ex’s new fling while also alluding to the work of rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who’s probably wondering what she did to get dragged into all this.
It’s tough to discern the tone of Miley’s comment on Brody’s pic.
She could be playing along, or it could be a serious warning to the 35-year-old to back off.
After all, the Hot Girl Summer has been a costly one for Miley, and she may not be in a joking mood.
