Even before Meghan and Harry’s stunning revelation that they’re stepping down from their royal roles, we knew that Meghan was headed to Canada.

But apparently she only plans to stay there a little while, and move to the US … when Trump is no longer in office.

Meghan Markle isn’t just a beautiful, kind woman. She also has a solid moral compass.

As if we needed any further evidence, The Daily Mail reports that her plans to move with Prince Harry to Canada are not permanent.

Rather, the idea is to stay in Canada — where she filmed Suits and is considered by some to be an honorary Canadian — and then move to L.A.

The only thing holding her back from moving directly to Los Angeles is the orange menace sitting in the White House.

See, according to the report, Meghan and Harry will only move to L.A. and start their life together after Trump is no longer in office.

WIth luck (and a lot of votes), that happy future is just one year away.

Allegedly, the long-term goal is to have a home and even a business in the City of Angels.

That is no real surprise. The weather there may be a nightmare, but it’s where Meghan’s mother, Doria, resides.

Like the majority of Americans, Meghan has been openly critical of Donald Trump given that he’s a racist, a misogynist, a criminal, and worse.

In fact, back in 2016, Meghan expressed a desire to leave the country if, as some apocalyptic portent, Trump won the election.

To the nation’s everlasting regret, he did, and Meghan was true to her word — she did, after all, move to England.

So she could move to L.A. as early as late January 2021.

We cannot speak to the authenticity of the report, of course.

In fact, The Daily Mail is one of the worst offenders when it comes to years of cruel headlines about Meghan.

In particular, you can compare and contrast headlines on the same topic about Meghan and about Kate. The Kate headlines are kinder, always.

At this point, it’s difficult to conceive of a reason for the British media’s cruelty other than flat-out racism.

In a statement released on Monday, the Queen herself seemingly confirmed Meghan and Harry’s plans to spend time in Canada.

"Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family," Her Majesty announced.

"My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family," she affirmed.

In other words, her favorite grandson can do what he wants — what he has always wanted to do.

"Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family," the Queen acknowledged.

She expressed: "We respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family."

"Harry and Meghan have made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives," Her Majesty noted.

"It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition," she stated, "in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK."

"These are complex matters for my family to resolve," the Queen’s statement admitted, "and there is some more work to be done."

Her Majesty concluded: "but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days."

As before, we are so happy that Harry will get the peace for himself and for his young son that he has craved for many years.

The in many ways wretched media pressures that claimed his mother’s life will not be passed on to his son or continue to plague his wife.
