Ariana Grande has pulled a Madonna.
No, she didn’t compare the leaking of her music to rape. Nor did she refer to kale as gay.
But, just as Madonna did at the BRIT Awards, Grande did stumble and take a fall while performing at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Sunday.
While belting the lyrics to "Bang Bang" – the star’s smash hit collaboration with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj – Grande was climbing a set of stairs back to the main platform when she tripped bit it.
Always the professional, of course, Grande got right back up and continued to sing, rejoining the routine and crooning her part of the trio’s chorus.
She then finished the show, running through tracks from her debut studio album, 2013’s Yours Truly, as well as singles from the 2014 record My Everything.
And Ariana can also find solace in this: she is far from the only artist to ever fall on stage.
