You may recall the controversy that ensued when Kylie and Kendall Jenner used photos of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. to sell t-shirts on their website.

In addition to the absurdity of the sisters emblazoning photos of themselves on two of the world’s most famous rappers, the move provoked an uproar for legal reasons.

Kendall and Kylie were sued by the estates of Biggie and Tupac for allegedly using the photos without consent.

The KJs issued a half-assed apology and removed the shirts from their site.

But now it seems Kylie and Kendall are unexpectedly fighting restitution requests from the man who took one of the iconic photos that they admittedly pilfered.

Yes, despite the fact that the Jenners admitted to using the pics without permission, they’re reportedly fighting a lawsuit from famed photographer Mark Miller, who is asking Kylie and Kendall to fork over the profits they made from the shirts.

In legal documents obtained by TMZ, attorneys for the sisters allege that Miller is "neither the author nor creator of the photos."

The suit goes on to claim that if Miller has any right to the images at all, he’s "entitled to only thin legal protection."

Folks, you may want to jot this down as the day that the Kardashian-Jenner clan drifted into self-parody territory.

Kylie and Kendall are admittedly guilty of misusing copyrighted images of two beloved dead musicians, and yet they’re refusing to make things right with the guy who took the photos.

All this at a time when the public is already burning out these two.

The perception that Kendall and Kylie are spoiled to the point of being appallingly out-of-touch has never been more prevalent, and yet here they go proving the public right by doing something like this.

Kendall has suffered a string of PR nightmares that go all the way back to her asinine Pepsi commercial.

Meanwhile, Kylie’s reality show is on the verge of being canceled as fans have been turned off by the cosmetic queen’s whininess and sense of entitlement.

The timing couldn’t be worse for the Jenner girls to involve themselves in such a frivolous and petty lawsuit.

And yet, it seems even their handlers have lost touch with the ways in which such a move might serve to further alienate their fan base.

The girls still have momager Kris Jenner in their corner, so they’ll likely pull out of this tailspin, but this is still not a good look.

Kendall and Kylie may be set for life financially, but no one wants to be washed up in their early 20s.
