Harrison Ford is going to be okay. Let’s get that out there right at the outset.

The veteran actor was piloting a vintage fighter jet yesterday in California when disaster struck soon after takeoff. He ended up crash-landing on a golf course.

Fortunately, two doctors were actually playing nearby and ran over to Ford’s rescue, while emergency personnel quickly made their way over to the scene as well.

Ford was bleeding profusely from multiple gashes on his head, various outlets confirm.

During a press conference shortly after the incident, National Transportation Safety Board officials said the man behind Han Solo – who they did not identify by name – reported loss of engine power and appeared to have clipped the top of a tree before coming to rest on the golf course.

Ford’s son Ben Ford took to Twitter to assure fans that his father is doing alright following the crash.

"At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered, but ok! He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man."

Ford’s rep then issued a more detailed statement that served to quell fears even further.

"Harrison was flying a WW2 vintage plane today which stalled upon take off. He had no other choice but to make an emergency landing, which he did safely," his rep says.

"He was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery."

Thank. Goodness. We can now go back to just looking forward to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, right?
