Farrah Abraham has never been known to be compassionate or thoughtful, nor has she been known to make solid parenting choices.
But still, this new thing is despicable, even for her.
Just days after she handed herself a brand new scandal by trying to convince her daughter to “prank” some friends by telling them her dog died, her dog actually died.
Yep, karma acted swiftly here, and unfortunately, a sweet little dog named Blue paid the price.
The Dynamic Duo Look, Farrah makes a whole, whole lot of bad choices as a mother. She just does. We’ve discussed this many, many times.
SUCH Bad Choices Farrah thought it was a good idea to pull Sophia out of school so that she could homeschool her. In reality, it was not a good idea at all, because if Farrah has such trouble stringing a sentence together, how is she going to be responsible for a child’s entire education?
Tsk Tsk There’s also that whole thing where she seems incapable of understanding that some things should be off limits for children, like discussions about her sex tape and eyebrow waxings.
Oh No … But earlier this week, Farrah went and topped herself by trying to convince Sophia and her friends to prank someone by telling them that her dog died.
Um It was weird because how is that a prank? Farrah’s master plan was for Sophia to ring someone doorbell, run away, and then go back and tell that person that her dog had died. Is that … is that supposed to be funny? What is even the point? Also, how twisted is that idea?!
Dang, Karma (Getty) That happened just a few days ago, and you won’t believe what’s happened for the Abrahams now.
Whoa THE DOG ACTUALLY DIED. FOR REAL.
What a Turn (MTV) It wasn’t the dog from the prank — if you listen closely to that video, Farrah refers to “our dog Sassy,” and this dog’s name is Blue — but right after joking about her dog dying, her dog actually died. And that’s wild.
She Did NOT … But how do we know that dear, precious Blue is no longer with us?
Farrah, No We know because Farrah shared the sad news on Instagram, you know, for the likes.
… Please (Getty) And while a normal person may have shared a photo of her deceased pet in happier times, perhaps with a sweet caption with a few details or memories, Farrah is most definitely not a normal person.
Here We Go (Photo Credit: MTV) And so the post she actually made is … just brace yourself, OK? Because it’s bad.
YIKES Yep, Farrah filmed a video of her daughter crying over her dead dog and put it on social media. She really did that.
It IS Sad It’s hard to understand everything she says in the video since she’s crying so much, but she did say that she was thankful she and Sophia were able to be with their dog during his last moments, and that this is the first time they’ve ever lost one of their dogs.
Poor Blue (Getty) In her caption, she wrote that they’d had Blue for five years, and that he “brought such a sense of love, support, relief, joy, fun & so much more I’ll be grateful for the rest of my life.”
Seriously, This Poor Dog She explained that yesterday evening, Blue went outside and out of nowhere, “Sophia sees him just stop moving and she try’s to figure out what is going on & yells for me I’m in disbelief and she hands me my half limp Blue.”
What a Tale (Getty) “Thinking low sugar,” she continued, “we grab syrup and water, his eyes looking at me as if he’s talking but his tongue can’t move and his body can’t but I see in his eyes he loves seeing his water and food and light of all the food and I feel his heart beating and we’re giving him love but as his body goes limper we call the Emergencey vet and rush to the Emergencey hospital and no heart beat found was found.”
Sorry, What? She also added that “I always said if he ever passed I would stuff him and put him on my shelf so I hope for our memory of our best friend BLUE to be brought back home soon again thanks to pet taxidermy.”
Oh, Sophia Obviously the entire situation is weird and sad and uncomfortable, but the worst thing has got to be how she’s filming her daughter during such a difficult, emotional time instead of, you know, comforting her.
Get Her And, as always, her followers were quick to call her out.
True (Getty) “Some things should be private!” one person told her. “I can’t believe that you would do this for attention! The last thing I would have thought about in this situation is ‘hey, let me get this on IG!’ UNREAL!! You are a pathetic POS. I hope your daughter gets placed in a better home, this is very disheartening. You need a reality check!! Big time!”
Also True “Our dog is dying,” another commented, “quick Sophia, grab mommys phone! Seriously!?!”
The Girl Who Cried Dead Dog A lot of people think this isn’t real, because of the dead dog prank from a few days ago. And honestly, it does seem like a pretty big coincidence that this would happen immediately after that.
Whoa Now Believe it or not, some people even think that Farrah could have killed the dog herself — one person said “I swear she poisoned that poor dog to get all the love and support she can before she goes to jail!!! That dog needs a autopsy!!”
Hey, Mom! And you know what Farrah’s own mother, Debra Danielsen thinks? She thinks that Farrah needs to go ahead and hand over custody of Sophia to her.
No Doubt She actually told Radar Online that there is “no doubt” Sophia would be better off with her, that “I would have Sophia in a great school. She can socialize and be a kid, just like Farrah. She needs to be a regular kid. Go to school and achieve academically. She loves science.”
Save Sophia! Deb went on, saying that Sophia is only 9 years old, and “There are too many pedophiles out there who take advantage of minors. It’s a scary world out there. Sophia is so precious. She is a blessing. I would not put my child on display.”
Hold Up (MTV) Except she did put her child on display — she had to have agreed for Farrah to do 16 and Pregnant, right? Besides, if she raised Farrah and Farrah turned out to be the way she is, is she really the best person to raise Sophia?
Hmmm But to be fair, sometimes parents can seriously mess things up with their own kids and then step up to be good grandparents — maybe Debra really would be the best guardian for Sophia. She certainly feels that way.
Fair “Sometimes it’s in the best interest of the minor if a grandparent could step in,” she argued. “Why? To give the parent time to take care of themselves. There is no harm in that.”
Alas … “Even if I could hire a team of lawyers, there are laws in this country that prohibit grandparents from stepping in and protecting their grandchildren. We need to fix the laws in this country.”
Dream Big, Deb And even though she and Farrah are not in touch right now, she said that she still believes that their relationship “can be fixed.”
Tough Break “Farrah, I love her very much,” she claimed. “She is my daughter. I have sacrificed and given my life to her. I wish her nothing but well.”
What a Mess (Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images) It’s just … Deb makes good points, and during times like this, when Farrah is filming her daughter crying while cuddling her dead dog, it seems like she’d definitely do a better job with Sophia.
A Real Conundrum But while Farrah is truly terrible, at least she’s never been arrested for assaulting her own kid, like Deb was.
Awww And if you’re wondering how Sophia herself feels about all this, wonder no more — she’s just missing her dog. She posted this pitiful picture and wrote that she misses Blue “super super much,” but “he is in good hands now in doggy heaven.”
The Worst Whatever happened to Blue, and whatever ends up happening with Deb, we can all agree that Farrah is awful for this, right? Because no matter what, that’s what it all boils down to here.
