Earlier this month, we learned that Wendy William isn’t making any decisions about her own show.

Now, her absence has worsened, and staff are directionless without her there to call the shots.

According to a new report, The Wendy WIlliams Show is going to lapse into reruns until they figure out what the heck they’ll do.

RadarOnline reports that Wendy’s health crisis has also become a television crisis.

"Staff have not heard from Wendy," and insider notes.

As we had heard, she was initially giving input on how the show should run during her indefinite hiatus.

Her radio silence has the people who work on the show nervous and at a loss for how to proceed.

"And," the source says, these employees "are concerned for the future of their jobs."

It’s kind of difficult to be confident in your future when your boss isn’t in contact with you or anyone else with whom you work.

"It has been a struggle," the insider admits.

And the source says that, starting next week, they’ll be done with substitute hosts.

They’ll begin switching to airing reruns.

With all of this uncertainty surrounding Wendy’s indefinite hiatus — and now with these reruns — people are getting antsy.

They don’t know whether they should start applying to other shows or ride out this awkwardness.

That’s a scary, complicated spot for them.

Wendy Williams has an estimated net worth of around $60 million.

Unlike most who work on her show, her financial future is secure even if she never films another episode of television in her life.

However, that is not to say that she is in the clear.

Wendy isn’t ghosting her show because she’s having a good time on vacation.

Wendy is grappling with a shoulder injury and with Graves disease.

As we have previously reported, Graves disease is the result of an overactive thyroid gland.

Tell-tale symptoms include a swelling of the neck and protrusion of the eyes.

A common symptom is increased sensitivity to heat, which may have been a factor in Wendy’s Halloween 2017 collapse on live television.

On top of that, the injury to her shoulder seems to have complicated her life.

In late 2018, Wendy was seen slurring her words on television.

She later apologized and explained that it was the result of painkillers.

A lot of fans are very understandably worried about Wendy.

Sources say that The Wendy Williams Show will continue its parade of celebrity guest hosts to finish out this week.

Next week, however, is when the reruns will begin.

Both crew and audiences have to wonder if there will ever be a new episode of the hit talk show series.

Will this indefinite hiatus become a definite cancelation?

Audiences are demanding to know — but that may depend entirely upon Wendy’s health.

No matter what the future has in store, we wish those working on the show good luck with their careers.

And despite her controversial statements, we hope that Wendy Williams herself makes a full recovery from this chilling health crisis.

UPDATE

“Wendy Williams is an incredible talent with the most unique voice in daytime.

"We can’t wait to welcome her back to her iconic purple chair on the set of her show,” production company Debmar-Mercury said in a statement on Thursday.

“We so appreciate all of the guest hosts and panelists who filled in for Wendy during this time. These people are, and always will be, true family to the show.  And we want to thank all of the loyal and supportive fans who have been with us for 10 years now.”
