The president in no way, form or fashion has ever promoted or encouraged violence. If anything, quite the contrary.

So said Deputy White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders earlier this week.

Fast forward a couple days… and Donald Trump has posted what may be his most ridiculous and controversial Tweet to date; which, we know, is saying A LOT.

In the video below, however, which the President of the United States shared on his social media account on Saturday morning, Trump has edited an appearance he made for the WWE back in 2007.

In the footage, he is beating up on the CNN logo, continuing his feud against the cable news network and directly contradicting the Sanders quote above.

If this isn’t an encouragement of violence against the press, we’re not sure what is.

This is the fourth straight day Trump has used the most powerful platform on the planet to rail against the media, following a bizarre rant against Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski.

We could have said this many times in the past, but he’s legitimately coming across as completely unhinged these days.

Twitter is more concerned than usual about the mental state of our Commander-in-Chief.

Here are just a few examples of what is being said about the President:

In a perfectly-worded response, CNN shot back as follow today:

It is a sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters. Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the President had never done so.

Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is instead involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office.

We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his.
