If you’re a Teen Mom OG viewer, you know that the past year has been tremendously difficult for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra.
Both individually and as a couple, Catelynn and Tyler have faced a number of obstacles that might have driven a weaker marriage to collapse.
So it perhaps it should come as no surprise that they recently came to the brink of calling it quits.
Fans will recall the episode in which Catelynn first talked about divorce as a possibility.
Now, the Baltierras are speaking out about that particular rough patch, and while they were able to persevere, they say the situatin was every bit as painful as it looked:
Opening Up Catelynn and Tyler recently sat down with Dr. Oz and gave what’s been touted as the most honest interview of their careers.
Telling It All It’s tough to imagine that the Baltierras could have anything to hide after all these years in the spotlight, but apparently, they spilled unprecedented quantities of tea while speaking with the good doctor.
A Painful Recap “When the series first launched, you guys were 16. It’s almost 10 years,” Oz says in a preview released today.
Ups and Downs “We’ve followed them through battles with depression and most recently, a heartbreaking miscarriage,” Oz adds.
Their Darkest Hour (MTV`) Fans will recall the tremendous emotional toll that Catelynn’s miscarriage took on both her and Tyler.
Put to the Test Catelynn checked into rehab to be treated for PTSD and other mental health issues in the wake of her miscarriage. In the months that followed, her marriage was nearly driven to its breaking point.
A Blunt Question “Tyler, Catelynn has used the word divorce, have any of you considered that?” Dr. Oz asked Tyler in the interview.
Hard Times While we don’t know Tyler’s response yet, those who are closest to the couple say it’s no secret that that they’re in the midst of yet another rough patch.
Evasive Answers “Everything is not okay. When I ask either Cate or Ty how they’re doing, they make no mention of the spouse,” says a source close to the Baltierras.
A Troubling Tweet (MTV) Catelynn’s recent social media activity has only exacerbated fan’s concerns about her marriage. “I’m scared of the future. I’m scared of the past. I’m nervous at the moment,” she wrote.
Ending on a Positive Note “I’m so scared right now … but I know that everything that is supposed to happen will happen… whatever my destiny is will be… I got this… I’m strong…” Lowell added.
Hope For the Future (Getty) If there’s any silver lining to the many dark clouds Catelynn and Tyler have encountered in recent months, it’s that they know how to weather just about every kind of storm.
A Wide-Ranging Interview Of course, marital troubles weren’t the only subject of discussion during Catelynn and Tyler’s session with Dr. Oz.
The Topic of Farrah During a portion of the interview in which Oz opened the floor up to questions from the studio audience, one fan asked Tyler and Catelynn about their feelings on Farrah Abraham being fired from TMOG.
Telling It Like It Is “The way she decided to live, her lifestyle, it just doesn’t really mesh with the rest of the cast and what we’re trying to educate about, it just doesn’t work,” Tyler stated.
Stating the Obvious “It doesn’t work very well together. She’s not a really nice person to be around,” he added.
Farrah Strikes Back (Getty) Obviously, Farrah wasn’t about to just sit back and let that comment fly.
Throwing Shade “The bullying and losing of Farrah’s brand by MTV talent who continues to have jealousy attacks towards her are pathetic,” Farrah wrote on Instagram today.
One Wild Hour Needless to say, this should be one emotional roller coaster of an interview. Check your local listings for time and channel.
