An ambitious, talented man in Newark, California, painstakingly put together the ultimate Christmas light show set to the music of Star Wars, and it. is. epic.

So much so that his neighbors might not even call the cops. It’s that awesome!

Watch the video for yourself and read his description of the light show below …

The Californian, a music teacher and director by trade (somehow we can see it) built the materials himself using wood, metal, acrylic and corrugated plastic.

So incredible is his attention to detail that if the trained eye takes a close look, the faux instruments are playing the real notes at the appropriate times!

The real Star Wars nerds may also pick up on the fact that the musical selections are chronological, spanning the two film trilogies from start to finish.

"The beams can be seen for miles," he writes, while noting that he "went out of my way to avoid shining the beams on houses and flight paths."

As for those neighbors?

They are actually very supportive, he says, "especially since I use the display to raise money for the poor and homeless through my church."

That certainly helps.

The 100,000 lights and booming Star Wars soundtrack – featuring orchestral highlights from five of the six films – will run from 6-10 p.m. until Christmas.

We can only hope he has an encore planned for next year, when he has a new movie to work from and not just the Star Wars trailer released last month …
