In the mood for some fantastic movie news?
20th Century Fox has released the first extended teaser for Fantastic Four, which hits theaters on August 7 and which will be a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s longest-running superhero team.
The footage features Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm/The Thing), Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm/Human Torch), Kate Mara (Susan Storm/Invisible Woman) and Miles Teller (Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic) transforming from regular human being to superheroes after they teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe.
As a team, they must band together to save Earth from a former friend, Victor Domashev/Dr. Doom (played by Toby Kebbell).
This version of the Fantastic Four will be directed by Josh Trank. Although the blockbuster has yet to even be released, a sequel is already planned for June 2, 2017.
So mark your calendars (twice!) and check out the sneak peek above.
In the meantime, we’ll all pretend like the Fantastic Four comprised of Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis, Chris Evans and Ioan Gruffudd never actually existed. Those movies were pretty terrible.
