And we aren’t talking about the rumors that Marcus has been two-timing his girl Sydney Rae James. The wedding was a fake!!

According to reports, the surprise wedding was a ploy to boost ratings this season. The duo didn’t even have a marriage license!

On the season finale of last year’s Bachelor in Paradise, Grodd proposed to Faddoul, after the two hit it off on the ABC program.

Fast forward to the Season 2 premiere of Bachelor in Paradise, Grodd and Faddoul were at the altar, ready to exchange vows.

Not only were their families present at the Sayulita, Mexico, wedding, but so was the new cast of the summer reality show.

Currently, it is unclear if anyone other than the “newlyweds” and the producers were aware that the impromptu wedding was a fake.

The “wedding” was officiated by Harrison; Grodd and Faddoul even went as far as writing and reading their own wedding vows.

And sharing their first kiss and “husband and wife,” natch.

Media outlets have contacted ABC for comments about the manufactured wedding ceremony, but the network has not responded.

Whether or not a real wedding will take place is uncertain, but it likely won’t be soon because Grodd is training for the Coast Guard.
