Earlier this month, Jenelle Evans was hospitalized following a late-night altercation at her home.
Fans immediately suspected Jenelle’s famously temperamental husband David Eason of causing her injuries, but the Teen Mom 2 star insisted Eason wasn’t to blame.
However, on Friday, Jenelle’s 911 call was released to the public, confirming that she indeed called police in response to an alleged assault by David.
In the days that followed, thousands implored Jenelle to take her kids and run far away from Eason — but now it looks as though the couple is planning to pretend the incident never happened:
A New Low Eason has been widely despised by TM2 fans for years, but over the course of the past week, he officially became the most hated man in reality television.
David the Terrible Rumors of David behaving abusively toward Jenelle and the five children in the couple’s care have been circulating for years.
Frightening Times (MTV) Now, fans have solid evidence that David’s loved ones live in fear of his violent outbursts.
Just the Worst These assumptions were always based on more than just his infamous temper and tendency toward verbal abuse.
A History of Violence David has been charged with domestic violence in the past, and at least one of his exes successfully filed for a restraining order against him.
The Call Heard Round the World (2015 Bruce Glikas) On Friday, several media outlets released Jenelle’s 911 call. Even David’s harshest critics were appalled by what they heard.
A Horrific Situation “My husband assaulted me,” a sobbing Jenelle told the 911 operator. “He pinned me down on the ground…and there’s blood.”
A Harrowing Account “He is in the house and he’s been drinking and I think that he got violent because he’s been drinking,” said Jenelle, adding that she suspected David had broken her collarbone.
Sweeping It Under the Rug Less than two days after the call was released, however, Jenelle was running damage control and attempting to explain the situation away.
Drunk and Dramatic In a lengthy statement posted to her social media page, Jenelle dismissed the altercation as a “drunk and dramatic misunderstanding.”
All Good (Getty) “Everything is great…We are totally fine,” Evans continued. “We are feeling fine. Just taking time off social media…time to focus on ourselves and our family.”
Reputation Repairs The couple’s efforts to convince fans that there’s no cause for concern continued over the weekend, as David posted several photos to Instagram, seemingly as proof that all is well.
Water Under the Bridge? It seems David, Jenelle and the kids participated in multiple activities with Jenelle’s mother, Barbara, who has apparently also been quick to forgive Eason.
One Happy Family Together, David, Jenelle, and Babs attended 11-year-old Jace’s soccer game and then took the entire family to a pumpkin patch. Eason, of course, made sure to document the whole thing.
David Drama Demonstrating that he has zero understanding of the word “irony,” Eason also took to Facebook to share some conflict resolution advice with fans.
Advice From Dave Yes, David actually credited himself for “fighting back” against those who would antagonize him just days after being accused of beating his wife.
He Went There When fans pressed him on the issue, David played dumb. It’s the role he was born to play!
The Nerve Eason even had the gall to give flippant, one-word responses to fans who inquired about Jenelle’s well being.
Caught on Camera While MTV was not there to document the fight, sources say Jenelle filmed all this weekend and made sure to leave viewers with the impression that all is well in the Evans-Eason household. We’ll have further updates on this situation as more information becomes available.
