It’s been six months since Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, but due to lag time in production, we’re only just now seeing the immediate aftermath play out on her family’s reality show.

If you watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians online, you know that the fallout from the robbery has been a major focus of this season thus far.

The trauma has affected the entire Kard clan, but none more so than Kim, who’s finding it difficult to engage with the public, despite her awareness that it’s an essential part of her career.

In preview clip from this week’s episode, we see Kim suffering near-panic attack when a shopping trip in Dubai draws a massive crowd.

"This is just kind of what I was afraid of, is just this feeling of panic," Kim tells the camera.

She goes on:

"With so many people gathering and then they start social media like, ‘Kim’s at the mall, she’s here.’ And then other people will know exactly where I’m at. It gives me such anxiety."

Kim eventually sneaks out the back door, thanking the Givenchy staff for their accommodation.

"I’m just afraid of everything. I just get scared," she confides to friend Jen Atkin.

It’s easy to dismiss the struggles of the Kardashians as the height of First World problems.

But no doubt millions have suffered from trauma can relate to Kim in this situation.
