Paul Wesley is all set to start anew.

In both his professional life and his personal life.

As of 10 p.m. EST on Friday, the actor will no longer be a series regular on The Vampire Diaries.

Because The Vampire Diaries will no longer exist; it goes off the air tonight following a very successful eight-season run on The CW.

Similarly, the handsome actor has wrapped up a four-year run as the boyfriend of former castmate Phoebe Tonkin, with E! News reporting the stars have gone their separate ways.

Wesley and Tonkin met on the set of The Vampire Diaries in 2012, with the former a constant presence as Stefan Salvatore and the latter coming on board in the role of Hayley Marshall.

They started dating about a year later, once Tonkin left The Vampire Diaries to star on its spinoff, The Originals.

Both shows filmed in Atlanta, making the romance pretty easy on a practical level.

It’s unclear exactly when Wesley and Tonkin broke up, but they were last seen in public together on December 20, 2016, five days before they celebrated Christmas in her native Sydney, Australia.

The actors, who were open with their romance at Comic-Con over the years and who often shared cute pictures of each other on Instagram, stopped posting these kinds of images on social media late last year.

"They are still good friends," an insider tells E! News. "The relationship just ran its course."

Prior to dating Tonkin, Wesley was married to actress Torrey DeVitto from 2011-2013.

Prior to dating Wesley, Tonkin was having a lot of sex with members of the THG staff. In our fantasies, at least.

The actor, meanwhile, is in Toronto this week, where he’s busy directing an episode of Freeform’s Shadowhunters.

As for Tonkin?

She celebrated International Women’s Day at the Place de la République Wednesday.

Earlier in the week, she also attended the Chanel presentation as part of Paris Fashion Week.

"Today was one of the most incredible, educational and magical experiences of my life," the beauty wrote on Instagram Monday, adding:

"To visit Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment in Paris and to learn about her history and the heritage of the house was so inspiring and a dream come true."

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 will conclude tonight at 9/8c, following a one-hour retrospective of the show.

The Originals Season 4 will then debut on Friday, March 17 at 8/7c.
