It happened. The moment that seemed impossible actually happened.  On Tuesday evening, Kim Kardashian gave a lecture about the objectification of women in the media.  Mmmm hmmmm, you read that correctly.

More than 1,300 fans, mostly women, filled the Castro Theater in San Francisco to hear what Kimmy had to say about women’s issues.

Fans paid upwards of $300 for tickets to the event where retired state judge LaDoris Cordell led a conversational Q&A with Kim.

Here’s what Kim told young women about empowerment:

1. Success is found in a man’s credit card.

Kim launched her “career” by selling seven pairs of Manolo Blahniks similar to ones she saw in a Jennifer Lopez music video. She told her fans that she used her dad’s credit card to buy them for $750 each.  Kim then turned around and sold them for $2,400.

"I was on a really strict budget. I didn’t make a whole lot of money, so if I wanted to buy something, I would sell things," she claimed.  “It was an example of "my love for selling and hustling and all of that."

Kimmy said her late father made her sign a contract promising to repay him within 30 days.

I think she forgot that not everyone can afford even a $30 pair of shoes…

2.  You don’t work hard enough.

Cordell asked Kardashian about the prospect of women succeeding in a male-dominated world.  Kim responded that no one understands how hard she has actually worked.

She said, "There is this generation of young people – girls – that are beautiful but don’t have a strong work ethic.”

"People sometimes think that with looks, things will come easy with modeling jobs here and there. But I really just encourage people to put in the work," said the reality star.

Yeah, grad school was a breeze for me, Kim.  And I just slack all day as I work three jobs.

3.  B*tches be cray.  You need help.

The Kardashian-Jenner family, like many families, attends group therapy.

Since Caitlin Jenner graced the cover of Vanity Fair, the family has been attending therapy.  She stated, “Everyone is very supportive of Jenner since she appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair, but Kardashian and her family have been attending group therapy sessions too.”

She added, "As a family, we just literally prayed that people would understand it.  Everybody has their own transition to accept and support this.”

Kim must not realize that insurance hardly covers or doesn’t cover mental health care.  Therapy is, unfortunately, a luxury. Not everyone can afford it.

4.  You aren’t good enough the way you are.

Kim is constantly posting selfies to Instagram.  So many that she compiled her selfies into a best-selling book titled Selfish.

She told Cordell the best selfies have “lots of bright light.”  She advises women looking for empowerment to pose in a mirror and “know your angles.”

Because you are probably not good enough without filters and deceiving angles…

The only good thing that might come from Kim’s “lecture” is that people are talking.  It doesn’t take a genius to start a conversation.  So hopefully, her input will spark a real conversation for real women–despite looks or class–to become inspired and empowered.
