Blake Horstmann bid farewell to Bachelor in Paradise on Monday night.

But now the controversial reality star is back, figurtive tail firmly tucked between his legs and regrets he would like to express to anyone willing to hear him out.

We might as well, right?

The reality star left this ABC franchise after getting rejected on the latest episode by Kristina Schulman, a woman he had said he could see as "being the mother of my children and as being my wife."

But Kristina felt differently, letting Blake down as gently as possible and prompting him to wonder whether he deserved to get turned down  in such a manner.

“Part of me thinks I deserve this,” Blake said on air. “This is karma, you know?"

Karma for what, you may be asking?

For getting involved in a love triangle between Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Schulman after he hooked up with each of them on back-to-back nights this spring.

Horstmann then tried to defend his actions by publicizing Caelynn’s texts to him, a strategy that backfired. Hard.

“To say paradise was rough for me is an understatement,” Blake admitted in an Instagram post Monday night. “I have no one to blame but myself for that.”

As a caption to the beautiful image below, he continued:

“It’s not easy putting yourself and all of your mistakes out there for the world to see.

"No matter the differences all of us had on that beach, I will always have respect for each and every one of you, being brave enough to be yourselves and chase the love we all feel we deserve.

"Never forget that we are all human and not characters on television. I want to thank those of you that have sent me kind words and encouraging messages.

"Those have helped more than you will ever know.”

Pretty candid words here from Horstmann, huh?

We didn’t think he was really capable of such self-reflection.

In conclusion, Blake wrote the following:

“I hope that this is not the end of my story and I can look back at this summer and be grateful for the lessons learned and the friends made."

Time shall tell, we suppose.

And Horstmann can at least take solace in the support he’s receiving from others in Bachelor Nation.

“Always Love For You Blake!” commented Derek Peth.

“You live & you learn. On to the next chapter,” added Astrid Loch.

Said Blake upon leaving the show last night: “I did not expect this to go this way."

Who will go out tonight, meanwhile? We’ll  be tuning in to find out!
