Reality shows turn over their judging and/or panelist tables more often than Eli Manning turned over the football during his final couple seasons as the New York Giants staring quarterback.

Therefore, the mere news that Gabrielle Union will not be returning to America’s Got Talent in 2020 should not come as a shock.

Not on the surface, at least.

However, insiders have told lovebscott.com that Union has essentially been fired by NBC because she spoke out about problematic situations.

Those situations centered around her gender and the color of her skin.

To be clear, Union was not technically given her walking papers.

She simply is not being offered a new contract in light of her current one expiring after this season.

According to this unnamed source, the contract was not renewed despite Union — according to this source — "being the #1 talent on the show, NBC and network TV."

Continued the report of Union:

"She set the record for her Golden Buzzer. They only replace the women and blacks at Simon’s whim. She wouldn’t walk away from $12 million because she’s ‘busy.’

"Based on weekly interactions on social media, by the time AGT finale aired Gabrielle was the #1 talent on network TV for 2019.

"Why not pick up someone’s option in extreme success?"

This is obviously a pretty substantial accusation, alleging that Simon Cowell has an issue with woman and African-Americans.

It’s also rather evident that someone from Union’s camp leaked these quotes; no one else would sort of randomly just label the actress as the top talent on NBC.

But this is how the insider defended such a classification:

"Social media engagement is the new measuring stick for talent and Simon isn’t on social media. Juliane and Gabrielle were both way higher ranked/engaged than Howie.

"The idea the network wants to ‘switch things up’ only applies to women and Black folks."

We’ve also heard that Hough won’t be returning to America’s Got Talent.

But neither Hough nor anyone from the show has confirmed this chatter.

Back in 2017, Nick Cannon took to Facebook to claim he was "threatened with termination by executives" after he made a racial joke about NBC on his Showtime stand-up special.

He then quit as host of prior to Season 12, saying:

“My soul won’t allow me to be in business with corporations that attempt to frown on freedom of speech, censor artists, and question cultural choices.”

We were guilty of mocking him back then.

Overall, Cannon was sort of lambasted in general for this stance, as most observers blamed the star for throwing a tantrum tantrum.

HOWEVER…

"Let’s just say they didn’t start the racism, homophobia, transphobia, Islamophobia etc. in season 14," this report concludes;

"They were quite comfortable with it all by the time Gabrielle got there. Remember Nick said ‘NBC stands for N*gga Be Careful.’"
