It was just a drunk misunderstanding.
This is the story of Jenelle Evans and she’s sticking to it.
This is not simply our opinion.
It’s what Jenelle herself said on a 911 call.
But now Evans has spoken out in detail for the first time about this confrontation with Eason, telling Us Weekly that David never laid a hand on her and she actually just…
Yes.
Scroll down to relive this scary back-and-forth between the spouses and to read what Jenelle claims truly transpired:
Let’s Just Start with the 911 Call (2015 Bruce Glikas) You can listen to it above. Hear what Evans herself said when she dialed the authorities this past fall.
Words are Not Minced “My husband, he just assaulted me,” Evans tells the dispatcher, running down what happened between the couple during a Saturday evening at their home in North Carolina.
She Went Into Major Detail “He pinned me down on the ground in the yard, and I think I heard my f-cking collarbone crack and I can’t move my arms,” Evans continued on this call.
What Led to the Attack? According to Jenelle, David “got violent because he was drinking,” which is par for the course when it comes to Eason.
What Should I Do? The operator on the call told Evans that she planned to dispatch officers to her area, while she expressed concern for her children’s safety and said in response: “I have four kids in the house with me right now and they’re all sleeping and…I don’t know what to do.”
He Might Be Armed The operator instructs the Teen Mom to “stay clear” of her husband and asks if he has access to any weapons. At first, Evans says no… but then she quickly adds, “I don’t know what he has.”
This Sounded Truly Horrible At the end of the four-minute call, Evans cries and says: “All I know is that my collar bone hurts,” as the operator instructs her to wait for backup.
But Shortly Afterward.. … Jenelle told E! News “it was a drunk and dramatic misunderstanding,” and added of her marriage: “Everything is great. We are totally fine … just taking time off social media, time to focus on ourselves and our family.”
How Bad Did It Get? Following the incident, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Jenelle was transported to the hospital. A source told Us Weekly at the time: “David attacked her in front of everyone and they fell to the ground.”
Hold Up, Though. Jenelle is Telling a Very Different Story Now. In an exclusive chat with Us Weekly, Evans tells what comes across like an outlandish story. This is how it begins: “We had friends over and we had a bonfire and I tripped over a hole, and me and David were in the middle of arguing about something.”
Umm… Okay. Then What? She continues: “I went and fell down, David wouldn’t catch me, he tripped over the hole and we both fell down together.”
You Both Fell Down a Hole?!?!?!?!? Yes, Evans insists. “And right after it happened, we filmed about it and I was open and honest.”
She Has a Message for Fans This is the one time Teen Mom viewers have been sympathetic toward Jenelle. They’ve been urging her to split from Eason and are concerned about her safety. But she tells the tabloid there’s no cause for concern.
Chill, Folks, She Says: I’m Fine! “I totally understand that,” she tells Us of the feedback, adding of her infamous 911 call: “I was like, dude, I was drunk and when I get drunk, sometimes, I cry for no reason. I mean I was hurt, I’m not gonna lie about that. Yeah, I hurt my shoulder. But I went to the doctor afterwards and it’s just a sprain and I was fine.”
She Was Drunk. This is Really Her Excuse. (MTV) We certainly hope Jenelle is not being abused — but she wants the public to believe that she specifically told a 911 dispatcher that Eason assaulted her simply because she had a lot to drink that night? Most of us become too honest when inebriated, not the other way around.
There’s Just Nothing to See Here “Everyone’s like, ‘Oh, what’s Jenelle’s story? Oh, she’s hiding it.’ No, I’m not hiding it,” says Evans. “CPS came to my house, they interviewed me, they know the story. My lawyer knows. Everybody knows except for the public.”
But They Will Know It, She Adds Jenelle emphasizes that MTV covered most of this incident and we’ll learn a great deal more when Teen Mom 2 premieres on Monday, January 14.
Really, Though? In an extended preview for the new season, we only see Jenelle have a long talk with her mom on the porch. They’re discussing her custody battle with Nathan.
MTV is Not Allowed to Film Eason or to Film on the Couple’s Property Makes it hard to get to the truth in this abuse case, doesn’t it?
But Evans Does Cry in the Trailer! She breaks down over how Eason is allegedly misunderstood.

Really, Everyone, Stop Worrying About Me Evans posted a video to YouTube after the reported attack from her husband, reiterating to followers that she is NOT in a violent relationship.
This is What She Said in It: “I’ve been wanting to get some things off my chest lately. I’m reporting to you from my closet right now, because I’m trying to hide from the kids while I make this video. I just want to let you guys know that I’m completely fine.”
She Continued in This Video: “I know everyone’s concerned about me. You know, I’ve been in so many domestic violence situations in the past that I would not put up with it now. I don’t know why you guys think I would continue to stay in this relationship if I was being abused.”
And She Concluded: “I was always telling you the truth about everything that happened with every one of my relationships and if you don’t believe me, I don’t know what to f-cking tell you.”

Is the Couple Still Together? Yes. Evans and Eason stopped following each other on social media at the end of 2018… and were rumored to be divorcing. However, they have since reconciled and have advised Teen Mom 2 fans that they are very much still an item.
Eason Doesn’t Have a Job MTV fired Eason in February after he called members of the LGBT community “abominations” on Twitter. This was only his most recent example of being homophobic and intolerant on social media at the time.
Their Romantic History: Evans and Eason got married in September of 2017. They share daughter Ensley, 20 months, while the MTV personality is also the mother of nine-year old son Jace and four-year old son Kaiser.
