Leah Messer went through the emotional ringer on Teen Mom 2 this week.

Awake at 3:30 a.m. in order to take her pregnant sister, Victoria, to the hospital to give birth, Leah told viewers she was waiting for her grandmother to come over and look after her daughters.

Messer, of course, has two precious girls:

Aliannah “Ali” and Aleeah with ex-husband Corey Simms; and Adalynn “Addie” with ex Jeremy Calvert.

While getting ready to leave the house and be there for her sister during the miracle of child birth, the veteran reality star explained her dilemma on air:

“I’m worried about Ali because she fell and hurt her foot at Corey’s last week. And it’s still bothering her."

As long-time Teen Mom fans know well, Ali was diagnosed years ago with Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy, a condition that is characterized by weakness and wasting restricted to the limb musculature.

“It’s really hard trying to be here for my sister and focus on what’s going on with Ali at the same time," Leah explained once she actually arrived at the hospital and Victoria prepared to welcome a child.

After learning of Ali’s reaction to the fall — the little girl told her mom that she screamed louder than she’s ever screamed before — Messer broke down in tears.

She then called Corey, though, and confirmed to him that X-rays could be done in the office.

“Right now, my sister’s about to have a baby, but then after that I’ll take her down to get checked out," Leah said.

Later on the episode, Messer said she didn’t send Ali to school aftere thee young girl stubbed her toe a few days prior because her injuries reallly can be more severse as a result of her medical condition.

Hence why she’s so concerned about this fall.

Leah went on to say she and Corey “really don’t know what to expect” about the future of her muscular dystrophy battle and will just have “to see.”

Which is how the episode ended, with viewers needing to wait until next Tuesday to learn what the doctors had to say about Ali.

Leah has said in the past that Ali’s doctors have said that her condition is "deteriorating," but she shared some upbeat information with fans not long before this new episode aired.

"This month is very special to me," Messer wrote in early September. "Not only is it National Recovery Month, it is also Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Month.

"Muscular Dystrophy is a genetic disease that causes progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass."

As explained above, Leah explained that "Ali has one of the more rare forms of MD called Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy with TTN mutation."

"We continue to learn more about her diagnosis through the years," she continued. "We don’t know what to expect from day to day but continue to make the best of every day without losing hope.

On an extra adorable note, Leah wrote last month that Ali "gets excited about the little things we often take for granted."

"Recently she learned how to button her jeans and was so proud of her accomplishment.

"I cried," the Teen Mom 2 star admitted. "I cried because I’m happy for her. I cried because it really is the small things in life that we take for granted."

Messer then concluded that her daughter "continues to inspire me," and that "I’m so grateful to be her mama."

Sorry, readers. But it just got a little dusty in here. We’re gonna need a minute.
