American Idol Winner: Announced!

After a nail-biting, emotional and close American Idol finale Tuesday night ...
... Phillip Phillips prevailed, making him the fifth straight WGWG to win.
Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan tied the knot after FB went public.
Miley Cyrus' outfit at the Billboard Music Awards didn't involve pants.
Miles also weighed in on how sex is beautiful and necessary.

Kate Gosselin on Today Show

Kate Gosselin has made peace with Jon somehow. So she says.
Chris Brown fans lost their $h!t at critics of his lip-synching.
Their reaction? Sending Chrissy Teigen death threats.
Also getting death threats: Dog the Bounty Hunter.
Timothy Busfield was accused of sexual battery.
John Travolta was not this week, for a change.

Donald Driver & Peta Murgatroyd - Freestyle (DWTS Week 10)

Donald Driver won Dancing With the Stars after a terrific finale.

The Great Gatsby Trailer

The trailer for this year's The Great Gatsby was released (above).
The Anchorman 2 trailer (or at least a tease for it) is also out.

Kim Kardashian was named the World's Hottest Woman.
Kanye West proposed to her too ... in her dreams.

Anderson Cooper CRUSHES 'Human Barbie' Mom

Lauren Odes got fired for being too hot. At a lingerie company.
An old literary bio says President Obama was born in Kenya.
Usher and Tameka Foster continue to fight it out in court.

Should Fox Cancel American Idol?

The ratings for American Idol were way down this season, about 32 percent lower than those of season 10.

The winners on American Idol all appear to be from the same mold, as Phillip Phillips follows in the Caucasian, guitar-playing footsteps of Lee DeWyze, Kris Allen, David Cook (pictured) and Scotty McCreery.

So, it must be asked: is it actually time to cancel American Idol?

Yes, Allen told TMZ this week. He believes the plug should be pulled on a competition that has clearly grown tiresome on the eyes of viewers.

But another former winner disagrees.

American Idol is a juggernaut," Taylor Hicks told TMZ in response to Allen. Because of my American Idol win, I am able to do the thing that I love most, which is to be an entertainer... the fact that I am headlining Vegas six years after auditioning there and then ultimately winning AI is testament to the incredible platform the show continues to provide for me."

Presenting: The First-Ever Marriage Proposal Lip Dub!

Simply put: Way to go, Isaac.

In a video making its way around the Internet, this young man organizes what he refers to as a "live lip-dub," as he invites his girlfriend over; has his brother sit her down in the back of his car to so he can "play her a song;" and then... well, see for yourself.

But you might wanna grab a Kleenex before watching.

Chris Brown "Sweet Love" Music Video: First Look!

That sound you hear is Team Breezy taking a momentary hiatus from sending incredibly disturbing death threats to "haters" and collectively shrieking.

The video for Chris Brown's latest single, “Sweet Love,” has just dropped.

The 23-year-old R&B singer goes shirtless showing off some dance moves, while getting cozy with his on-screen love interest in bed. Swoon?

FUN FACT: While Chris walked and sang through the lot’s NYC streets, a production crew set up a flying structure to levitate three models.

None of them were assaulted in the process.

Just kidding. Sorry, Team Breezy. We admit, the song is pretty good and he's been on fire this year with one hit after another. Give credit where it's due. You know what they say, if you can't beat 'em ... you're not Chris Brown.

Phillip Phillips Loves Girlfriend, Embraces Talent

We're sorry to say it, ladies, but: Phillip Phillips has a girlfriend. And he's head over heels for the unnamed brunette.

"She is so excited for me," the 21-year old told reporters in a conference call yesterday. "She supported me throughout all of this, and I love her to death."

Phillip added that his gal pal has helped him immensely through his kidney ailment - it came out this week that Phillips underwent EIGHT surgeries during season 11 and is due for one in the near future - and if female voters out there have a problem with his heart being taken, well...

... too bad!

"If a girl [voted] for me because I'm cute, and then gets mad that I have a girlfriend, then she doesn't really like the music," he said. "I'm not some cute guy who is trying to be successful off that. I really want the music to come first."

Britney Spears' X Factor Contract Lets Her Leave Whenever She Wants, Report Claims

An interesting explanation of Britney Spears walking off The X Factor set Thursday has emerged in a new report on TMZ: She did because she can.

The show wanted Spears so badly, they literally gave away the candy store ... well not literally, although she could probably buy a candy store.

With a deal paying her $15 million for one season, Britney is raking it in, and that's not even all. Her contract basically gives her carte blanche.

Spears has the right to do things during production that are not "normal," insiders say, and that includes taking breaks whenever she feels like it.

As one source put it, "Simon is a shrewd businessman who knew Britney could make his show and he was willing to give her just about anything."

Guess so. And hey, look at us talking about The X Factor in May!

Yesterday, Britney walked off the set during the very first taping, leaving behind an empty judge's chair while four contestants did their thing.

Sources connected with the production say Britney was "overwhelmed" and left. She sort of denied this on Twitter, but would anyone be surprised?

People who were at the taping claim she was upset by the audience reacting negatively to some of her comments, then abruptly peaced out.

Howard Stern's right. This could be a train wreck. But highly-rated!

Joe Gendreau on The Bachelorette Elimination: Just Too Different From Emily

Joe Gendreau's time to impress Emily Maynard expired this week.

Reflecting on the non-love connection that earned him a rare one-on-one date boot on The Bachelorette Monday, he said it just didn't work out.

Nothing scandalous or incendiary about it. Just didn't click.

"I tried to keep the rose out of mind. I didn't want to look at it as a challenge and be like, 'I really want that rose,'" Gendreau said. "I wanted to see how my time was with her and entertain the idea of being able to hit it off with her."

"I thought it was going well, but ultimately didn't work out. We really didn't hit it off with each other. We are in different places in our lives."

"I'm a single, free-spirited individual. Emily, she is looking for someone more settled and committed to family and work."

To that effect, Joe's "five-year-plan" seemed to be his undoing.

"I said, 'I want to be happy with no regrets' in five years ... I think she was more looking for more detail like, 'I want to be here with these many kids.'"

"I didn't take offense. She's determined in what she wants and she didn't see that in me. I answered truthfully. That's me being myself."

"I was not closed-minded about it. I want to have kids and marriage in my life one day, [but] I'll cross that bridge when I get there."

"Whether she made the right decision is on her. After she made her mind up, I was content to move on. I was really happy with everything."

"We just didn't click. She was very sweet, and I wish her the best."

As for who he thinks Emily Maynard's ends up with in the end?

"My money's on Jef. He seems like a great guy, a caring individual, and he's got some money. I'm sure that's going to put me in a doghouse," he said.

"Arie and Sean will stick around too. And maybe Doug, the guy who got the first impression rose. They're solid good guys, good character."

Sounds like someone's been reading The Bachelorette spoilers ... or watching the first two episodes on TV. That's all we'll say for now.

Kylie Minogue, 43, Strips Down For "Timebomb" Music Video

In a word: Dizzzamn!

Kylie Minogue is 43 years old (and actually turns 44 Monday) but you'd never know it based on the way she dances and dresses in her music video for "Timebomb."

It's been released as part of the celebration for this Australian's 25th year in the music business and, in it, Kylie dons what very few people would actually refer to as a "dress."

What do you think of Minogue in this outfit?

Look for Minogue to perform "Timebomb" live on the British version of The Voice on May 27 and to include it on her upcoming greatest hits album, due out on June 19 in the U.S.

Young Jessica Sanchez Fan CRUSHED By American Idol Results

We've found her! The only female on the planet who did not vote Phillip Phillips for American Idol champion!

Granted, she's like four years old.

It's both hilarious and heart-breaking to watch her reaction to this week's finale results. But it should at least be comforting to Fox executives - following a season where ratings tumbled - to know that at least some fans out there still care. A lot.

Watch poor little Laney's reaction to the outcome now and start the hate mail campaign for the mother behind the camera, who seems to take pleasure in mocking her toddler's pain:

Justin Bieber Announces Remixed "Boyfriend," Next Single

We could be like Selena and Biebs, wild and free, a couple disobedient teens. Sneaking out to meet around like 2 o'clock in the eve/Paparazzi in the bar and we just hot in the beach.

So spits out Asher Roth in a verse from the new remixed version of "Boyfriend," as that rapper joins forces with 2 Chainz and Mac Miller to update Justin Bieber's smash hit.

Roth is referring, of course, to the Biebs and girlfriend Selena Gomez, about whom Justin penned this single.

Bieber linked to this remixed version of the track on Twitter yesterday, while also updating fans on the second song off upcoming album "Believe." It will be titled "Die In Your Arms."
