Of all the renovation teams on HGTV, perhaps none is more beloved than Erin and Ben Napier of Home Town fame.

The married Mississippians, who are parents to daughters Helen and Mae, have been transforming their neighbors’ lives since their show debuted in January of 2016.

Their success has as much to do with their onscreen chemistry as it does with their talent for restoring old homes.

But according to a recent rumor, the Napiers have been dealing with some marital setbacks behind the scenes.

“They are AI generated in India or something and don’t even make any kind of sense. Y’all are smarter than this.”

Erin added a request that fans not bring up the rumors in front of the Napiers’ daguhters:

“Please don’t ask about it in front of our babies. They don’t understand what ‘online fake news’ means and it’s upsetting,” she wrote.

The ‘Home Town’ love story is still going strong

Erin and Ben met while they were both students at Jones County Junior College, near Laurel, Mississippi.

They later transferred to the University of Mississippi, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

The Napiers married in 2008, and they quickly got to work restoring old houses.

Their work first caught the attention of regional media outlets, such as Southern Weddings magazine.

HGTV soon came calling, and Erin and Ben have since shot more than 100 episodes of Home Town.

The show also inspired two spinoffs, Home Town: Ben’s Workshop and Home Town Takeover.

So it sounds like the Napiers will continue beautifying their neighborhood for many years to come.

Sadly, rumors are part of the territory when you’ve reached their level of fame.

“But,” the source added, “it just didn’t work out.”

Fertility can make or break many relationships

“Now he wants to build a new life,” the insider claimed.

“And,” the alleged source continued, “realize his dream of becoming a dad again.”

Obviously, many of us are keenly aware that having a child is not a magical fix for a relationship.

Infamously, not only does it not mend a marriage, but condemns a child to grow up in a household where the parents aren’t necessarily happy with each other or in general.

In some cases, these children internalize it, blaming themselves for the circumstances of their births.

DeFord is already a parent to 18-year-old Bailee.

He has had primary custody of her since she was 8.

He is also the father of 9-year-old (almost 10, in fact) Noah. Noah’s mother has primary custody.

It’s possible, but not confirmed, that the IVF medications played a role in DeFord and Bunnie’s conflicts that culminated in their divorce earlier this year.

Despite that, Bunnie has said that she still wants to continue with IVF and welcome a child with her ex.

More than two weeks after 18-year-old Nolan Wells was found dead near Mississippi’s Horn Island, one of the biggest questions surrounding his final hours has become even more complicated.

A woman identified as Katie McCormack has now been named as the person Wells was allegedly talking with shortly before he disappeared.

But according to Katie’s family, the story being told publicly about that encounter may not be accurate.

As we previously reported, Wells vanished during a Fourth of July outing on Horn Island after traveling there with friends by boat.

His mother reported him missing late that night, and search crews located his body in the water near the island on July 6. Authorities have not announced a cause or manner of death, and the investigation remains active.

From the beginning, friends said Wells chose to remain on the island while they left because he wanted to spend time with a girl he had met that day.

One of his friends recently reiterated that account, saying Wells declined repeated requests to get back on the boat.

But Katie’s sister, Gracie McCormack, is now disputing the suggestion that Wells intentionally stayed behind with her.

According to her account, Katie believed Wells was returning with his own group and did not understand that he had become separated from them.

She also emphasized that Katie has cooperated with investigators and has not been accused of wrongdoing.

“Katie had a conversation and assumed that Nolan was getting ready to get on the boat he came out on,” Gracie told The Daily Mail this week.

“Katie assumed the ‘friends’ telling him to get on the boat wouldn’t have left him.”

Those conflicting accounts have only deepened the concerns of Wells’ family.

Represented by attorney Ben Crump, the family has repeatedly questioned what happened during Nolan’s final hours.

Crump has pointed to the differing narratives as evidence that investigators still need answers about who last saw Wells and whether everyone involved has been completely truthful.

An independent autopsy commissioned by the family (and financed by former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick) was unable to determine a cause of death. According to reports, decomposition and the limitations created by the earlier state autopsy prevented definitive conclusions.

The report listed Wells’ cause and manner of death as undetermined and stated that foul play could not be ruled out.

Meanwhile, Mississippi authorities have said they have not found evidence that a crime occurred, though they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Wells’ death and have asked witnesses to provide information, photos, and videos from Horn Island.

Beloved CBS Sports analyst Tony Romo was arrested Thursday night in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI).

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback was stopped while driving southbound on Interstate 43, the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said on Friday (via TMZ).

Officials reported that Romo performed poorly on field sobriety tests before being taken into custody. He was later booked and released.

Wisconsin uses the term “operating while intoxicated” rather than DUI.

Romo, who is famously gifted at reading NFL defenses and predicting how opposing offenses will react, apparently did not see this one coming.

For a first offense, OWI is generally treated as a civil violation rather than a criminal offense, though penalties can still include fines and other sanctions if a driver is found responsible.

According to multiple reports, Romo had been in Wisconsin to compete in the Wisconsin State Amateur golf tournament, an event he has participated in over the years.

The traffic stop occurred not far from Burlington, Wisconsin, where the NFL great grew up.

Well, we don’t really know, as she has yet to comment on the situation.

In all likelihood, we have a Sydney Sweeney 2.0 situation on our hands.

As you may recall, millions jumped to the conclusion that Sydney was MAGA after learning that she’s a registered Republican.

That’s not necessarily true, of course, as there are many Republican critics of Trump.

But MAGA folk were eager to claim the industry’s biggest star as one of their own, so they picked up the narrative and ran with it.

For her part, Sydney avoided the controversy as best she could, just like Ella is doing now,

Why? Because she’s a 20-something woman who’s poised to become one of the biggest stars of her generation, and if she plays her cards right, she might be able to parlay that fame into a 10-figure net worth.

For obvious reasons, Sydney probably cares more about her career than she does about America’s never-ending culture war.

Both Sydney and Ella are products of rural upbringings, so they probably hold some conservative views. And they both work in the entertainment industry, so they probably hold some progressive views.

As new pieces of information come out, Savannah Guthrie recently stepped away from The Today Show.

One new detail reveals, in almost its entirety, the first ransom note — unlike the forgery, this one may be from the actual kidnapper.

It paints a chilling picture, promising to kill Nancy if the payment does not arrive on time.

‘We will be holding her for a maximum of seven days’

Nancy Guthrie has been missing since January 31, 2026.

One week ahead of the six-month anniversary of her tragic kidnapping, the world is learning more details about the first ransom note that Savannah received.

On the Crime Junkie podcast, Briana Whitney joined Ashley Flowers to discuss the details of the kidnapper’s chilling demands.

“Hello, Savannah. We have your mother, Nancy,” Whitney read aloud. “She is safe but scared.”

The note warned: “She will be held for ransom, and once payment is received, she will be released unharmed. We will be holding her for a maximum of seven days.”

According to Whitney, the note proceeded to demand millions of dollars.

People previously heard from a source that the note demanded $4 million in bitcoin by Thursday, February 5.

If that demand were not met, the note detailed that the kidnapper would want $6 million by February 9.

“Once payment is received to the Bitcoin address below, she will be released within 12 hours of deposit to a safe drop off location back in Tucson,” the kidnapper alleged.

The ransom note warned: “If the payment is not received by the last deadline on Monday the 9th at 5 p.m., she will be killed.”

‘Her life is in your hands’

“Your mother is aware of this,” the ransom note informed Savannah, “and her life is in your hands.”

The note insisted: “It is in the best interest of everyone to have this completed as soon as possible.”

Whitney continued to read the chilling message, which warned: “You will not be able to contact me from here on out. There will be no negotiation.”

Sternly, it continued: “Do not play games. Law enforcement will not be able to help you.”

At the end of the note, it included little details about the interior and exterior of the home — things that would, presumably, wash away any doubts that Savannah might have had about whether this was the kidnapper or a sick copycat looking for a payday.

After reading the note, Whitney noted that the FBI is — six months later, just about — still unsure if the note is authentic.

Presumably, agents have been too busy helping Kash Patel plan luxury vacations and jet out to visit his girlfriend or party with hockey teams to make this determination.

However, unless the kidnapper’s claims within the note were false, presumably Savannah understood the message to be genuine.

That said … it is widely believed that Nancy, an octogenarian without her medication who had just been violently kidnapped, did not survive to even the first ransom deadline.

Our hearts continue to go out to Savannah and to the entire family. This heartbreaking situation continues, offering them no real closure.

It looks like Sean “Diddy” Combs won’t be getting an early release for good behavior.

According to a new report, the disgraced mogul is currently cooling his heels in solitary confinement after getting into a fight in prison.

Combs is serving a four-year sentence on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

Sources familiar with the incident told NBC News that the confrontation when a fellow inmate started hurling insults at Combs.

Prison staff intervened to break up the fight, and Combs was subsequently placed in administrative segregation, commonly referred to as solitary confinement, while officials investigated the incident.

The report states that Combs did not suffer serious injuries. According to TMZ, Diddy “held his own” during the fight.

The condition of the other inmate involved has not been publicly disclosed, and federal officials have not released additional details about what led to the altercation.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on the specifics of the reported incident, citing privacy, safety, and security policies regarding incarcerated individuals.

Combs is set for release in 2028, and it does not look as though this disciplinary infraction will affect that date.

Though he was convicted of transportation to engage in prostitution, he beat several more serious charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, which could have landed him behind bars for life.

The conviction followed a weeks-long federal trial in New York that featured testimony from multiple witnesses, including former romantic partners and former employees.

Following the verdict, the court imposed a custodial sentence that prosecutors said reflected the convictions returned by the jury.

Several other accusers have come forward since Diddy began his sentence, but thus far, no new criminal charges have been filed.

Diddy’s current home, FCI Fort Dix, houses more than 2,000 inmates and is one of the largest federal correctional institutions in the United States.

The facility has previously drawn criticism over concerns involving inmate safety and overcrowding, although prison officials have said they continue to implement measures designed to maintain security.

Charles Spencer owns the 15,000-acre Northamptonshire estate.

Harry and Meghan could not raise their children on this land — in the UK, they were attached to the royal family. Once they left their royal duties, they could not remain without facing harassment even worse than before.

Even so, their children get to experience the joys of extraordinary hereditary wealth in the UK. Truly like something out of a fairy tale.

The children will never know their paternal grandmother

The late Princess Diana is actually buried on the property.

Specifically she is buried on a secluded island.

Oval Lake at Althorp is not accessible to the public.

A limited access to estate grounds — not the beloved Princess of Wales’ burial site — is available to visitors during much of the summer.

However, online records show that access was closed when Harry, Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet visited on July 10 and July 11.

The Australia tour that transformed the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, was overshadowed by excessive jealousy from the royal family. To know them is to love them.

Obviously, not everyone is enamored with the photos or with Meghan or Harry — or even their young children.

A certain crowd has viewed Meghan as some sort of interloper who “stole” Harry a decade ago, and they’ve never forgiven her.

Everything since then, from advocating for a better world to wanting to balance privacy with being a public figure to selling jam has only further condemned her in this crowd’s eyes.

But for anyone viewing this normally, two parents took their kids to visit a sprawling estate where their famous grandmother grew up before her entanglement with Charles.

Speaking to People in an interview published on Thursday, July 23, Rosie credited Mounjaro with having “saved” her life.

“When my mom died, all of us children gained weight,” she recalled.

Her mother passed away in 1973. Weight loss and weight gain, mild and in the extremes, are both common reactions to grief.

In her case, it also had to do with being a child who was suddenly entrusted with helping the family shop.

“Everyone got heavy,” Rosie described. “Everyone was in such grief and trauma.”

“And so Mounjaro saved my life,” Rosie claimed.

She shared that she has “lost a pound or two a month for three years.”

Rosie believes that the controversial GLP-1 product is not only good for her, but could be for others.

“I really wish I could do commercials for Mounjaro,” she expressed.

Rosie added: “And they would drop the price instead of paying me.”

‘I know the shame that we carry and the humiliation that is dealt to people who are overweight’

“Because when I see people struggling with obesity,” Rosie explained, “I want to say I know the shame that we carry and the humiliation that is dealt to people who are overweight.”

Unfortunately, it sounds like her proposed solution is not to end stigma, but simply to eradicate weight.

(As we know from multiple harrowing stories and also from common sense, not everyone can or should take GLP-1s.)

Rosie explained the trauma of having worked as an actress and comedian prior to this weight loss.

“When I would do late night, my biggest concern wasn’t my set, it was, did I look fat?” she recalled.

Actors Ben Affleck and Casey Affleck have suffered a loss in their family.

Their mother, Chris Anne Affleck, has passed away.

Her death followed a diagnosis of cancer. Doctors had only given her months to live.

Chris was 83.

She died early last month

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris passed away on June 2.

This followed a diagnosis in December.

She had pancreatic cancer.

Doctors at the time told her that she had about six months to live.

Unfortunately, the prognosis was very accurate.

Born as Christopher Anne Boldt in 1942 in New York, Chris would go on to graduate from Harvard.

She spent 35 years as a teacher and remained a committed civil rights activist.

She married Timothy Affleck, divorcing in the ’80s. Together, they welcomed Ben in 1972 and then Casey in 1975.

Ben Affleck’s career has been successful for decades. He is also, pretty famously, a good person — even if he is the butt of some joke memes.

Casey is arguably better known for settling two sexual harassment lawsuits out of court than for his acting career.

Ben brought his mom to the Oscars almost 30 years ago

For much of the public, their first introduction to Chris was when her son was nominated for an Oscar.

In 1998, both Ben Affleck and Matt Damon received nominations for Good Will Hunting.

The actors attended the Oscars together, which could mean nothing, and both brought their mothers.

“We were sitting next to our moms and we won, and we kind of hugged our moms. I remember how everyone had made such a big thing out of it as if this was such a novelty,” Ben recalled to Vanity Fair in 2023.

“There was nobody else that was going to go,” he explained. “That was it. Of course, our moms were gonna go. That was really innocent and not faked.”

In general, pancreatic cancer tends to have a very poor prognosis, as was the case with Chris. The cancer tends to be diagnosed at a later stage.
